Land of plenty

I saw only one film of Wim Wenders in this specials. A few years ago I watched the movie, Land of plenty, also by Wim Wenders.
911 have changed lots of things even in film world. Many directors worrying about this world think over the fundamental causes, problems and make films. Some of them expressed the scare of terrorism(war of the world by spielberg and so forth), another made movies of 911 directly.(WTC, United 93 are good examples) and the movies like Fahrenheit 911 was also released. But they seem to be not free themselves from eyes of the americans. They embrace american, mourn over, get angry with their policies and redicule. but i think it is just a view of the Americans.

As far as i know Wim Wenders loves america. We can find it out in his films.
And he made "land of plenty". I could see the his way to love all of people in the film. Lana who was born in the united states and raised in many contries comes to America again. So the view of this movie is american and not american. We can see the scare and unrest of the society through Lana and her uncle, and misuses of patriotism by media and the government too.
In the last Lana and her uncle travel around the united states. I think they get near to the truth that I don't, won't know). And the scenes and editing are such a great things.
Maybe a journey is important for Wim Wenders. He believes to see the real world, grow more though the journey.
I can't forget some words. Before Hassan was killed He answers to a Lana's question, where are you from?. "I came from nowhere. place is not important. I'm from People."
That's absoultely right.
place where to live, race are not important.

I miss everything of Land of plenty.

p.s. One of my friends, Oneday after travelling around the world, told me about an young girl he met in Thailand. At their first meeting she concealed her nationality because she has an unrest of terrorism to American. Why why do we travel like that?
Important thing to us is only that we are the same people.
