Who knows?

nowadays.. these are almost about fuckin politics or economy of Korea and a few about films, travels, and my life

And he made "land of plenty". I could see the his way to love all of people in the film. Lana who was born in the united states and raised in many contries comes to America again. So the view of this movie is american and not american. We can see the scare and unrest of the society through Lana and her uncle, and misuses of patriotism by media and the government too.
I went to watch the documentary film, "Tokyo-ga", by Wim Wenders yesterday.
It made in 1983, but I could feel the diretor's respect to "Tokyo Story" and Ozu Yasujiro who was a famouse japanese movie director of "Tokyo story".
Tokyo Story is about a life of an old man who went to Tokyo from Kyoto to visit his son and daughter.
Tokyo-ga is started and ended in the same of way of Tokyo stroy. Director pursues Ozu Yasujiro's vestige. He found Ozu's tombstone in KitaKamakura. there is not his name but "無"(mu:), means emptiness, nothingness. Another example ; he copies the way of Ozu, uses 50mm standard lens and lower a camera like Ozu. But Wenders recognizes how ridiculous the coppied shot is.
Ozu' way to take a shot is just his own. It is the simplest and easiest way to take a shot but most difficult and complex to be understood. And in it we can realize the way is the best for the movie and get impressed.
After showing there was a GV section with Wim Wenders. HongJun Kim presided it. he is also a movie director and fan of Wim Wenders. When Wim Wenders come to Seoul in 1977, HongJun Kim was a student and met him. after 30 years they met again.
By the way I listened to Wim Wenders about Tokyo-ga. He still respects Ozu Yasujiro and his films.
GV is very good.
His first impression of Seoul was that Seoul is like a parking town. He said If takes Seoul to film, It will be that a person in the luxury car speaks over the cell phone, and find a parking lot. :)
And he was asked "what is cinema for you?".
Wim Wenders said, "Everything".
Immediately I applauded him for his answer. wow...He is a reallllly cinearste. I never forget his answer.
After GV, at the outside of the theater, I could get his autograph. I think asking autograph bother him a little(he had to go to the airport soon), but I can take the chance to talk to him even for a short while.
I was very happy yesterday. ^^

Wim Wenders is invited and going to Seoul in 16th Mar.
Wow!!!!
When I was young and did not like movies well, I watched Wings of Desire(Der Himmel über Berlin).
In my memery, I was stunned by the story and the conversion of color. and also felt its wonderful.
another reason of that was Peter Falk. He was popular at that time because he acted lieutenant Colombo. Haha.
I was so curious of the movie that I found out all about him.
Well I dont rememeber to be satified, however I could carve the name of Wim Wenders on my brain.
After I knew the director Ozu Yasuziro, I realized Wim wenders respects him. (Actually at the first of the Wings of desire Peter Falk in a airplane narrates some cities. There are Tokyo and Kyoto among them.)
I have never seen "Tokyo-ga", so I really expect it.
because it is a documentary film about Ozu Yasuziro.
(I bought the ticket of tokyo-ga with GV in advance. :))
By the way 10 films of Wim Wenders will be showing this weekend with Wim Wenders.
nowadays I'm so happy.

Last saturday I looked around shoes store with girl friend, Kate.
She wanted to get shoes, so I had to follow her.(Im sorry)
that picture was taken when its boring.
better than i thought at that time.
That is the teaser poster of the "breath". It is directed by Kim Ki-duk and his 14th film.
yesterday I went to cinematheque in Seoul in order to watch 2 spanish cinema, "El angel exterminador(english title is The Exterminating Angel)", "El Sur(The South in english)".
The exterminating Angel was directed by Luis Buñuel as you know and The south was by Victor Erice.
Im going to write about the exterminating angel soon. It's a little curious because I was confused about why they couldnt go out of the house.
in almost end of it I could think the director's intention.
it's so great...
Victor Erice is not renowned to the public. He has made movies from 1960s. However, the number of his long films is only 4. He made one every ten years.
I saw his 2nd long film, "El Espíritu de la colmena(The Spirit of the Beehive)".
Its a little shocking because it seemed to have a new style, hue, atmosphere among other spanish cinema Ive ever seen .
the composition of The South is similar to it. It shows the girl's memory of the father with flashback. And I could see the reality of Spain at that time(under Franco). Of course, the reality influences the girl's family. Then father went to the south in the first of the movie already, the daughter dreams about the south.
But I don't know well about Victor Erice and his films as well.
I missed i didnt watch them twice. This program already finished yesterday.
And El Séptimo día(the 7th day) by Carlos Saura was shown. that is missing too.
the picture is the poster of "Spanich cinema", you can find the names of directors, if you see the picture of original size.

I heard that a gym in Netherland is planning to introduce traing session for nudist. :)
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe/02/06/nudist.gym.reut/index.html
Of course, it dosen't mean Netherland is a paradise for minorities.
Authorities in Netherland, However, consider them.
I think apparently everything else is legal from drugs to prostitues.
By the way a traveling memory in Netherland came across my mind from the news.
that picture is that i took a statue and people at Damm plein in Amsterdam.

I sold my eos-1d and bought 30d last November.
It is because 1d is too heavy to carry about. And its true taking pictures made me bother actually.
At that time i felt i should refresh my self for photos.
Mayby thats why i changed my camera.
And last weekend I carried about with me a camera, then took some pictures.
I took these pictures at the center of Seoul.
I like things to be disappear soon. because someday I won't see but just remember them.
