Now 57th Berlin international Film Festival is held.
I just saw the list of program. It is not much stimulated me than other festivals.
I prefer Canne tp Berlin. I don't know why. Acutually Canne is more commercial. yup. And Berlin is more political.
Despite of it, Some names of directors drive me crazy.
First. the letter from Iwo Jima, by Clint eastwood. Last year he made two films which is about World War 2. One is the view of American , another is Japanese.
Flags of our fathers for Academy, the letter from Iwo Jima for Berlin, I think.
It is a better choice to submit the letter from Iwo Jima for Berlin.
The Second is Hyazgar by Zhang lu. He is a Chinese korean director.
The reason I expect the Hyazgar is that I've seen his former film, Grain in Ear. The last scene of it made me cry. Grain in Ear was the best film of mine last year.
He made only 3 films, However, he has his own way to harmonize film with our reality.
I also wander Jiri menzel's and Jacques Rivette's, what on earth are theirs?
On the berlinale's website, I could see the name of Julie Delpy. but the name is lied on a part of Director.
huh! Director Julie Delpy? Immediately I searched her on imdb.
2 days in Paris is the first long film of her. she made only 3 short films.
actually I like her as an actress.
Of course, I love before sunrise, before sunset, the three colors:white by Kieslowski. Maybe the memory of her in before sunset catches my eyes.
The last. Aju teukbyeolhan sonnim(english title is Ad Lib Night) is a Korean movie, directed by Lee Yoon-ki. I already saw that.
some of Korean Movies went to Berlin, I think adlib night is the best among other korean films.
after seeing i could feel it's also his film. he is a man but he may know what are women.
In his films, the story flow through the woman' view.
His sense is so delicate that I mixed up the director is a real man.
He made it from the a little special one night story, However, he didn't surprise as like Hong Sangsoo and pull the story tense.
Always clam but anxious.
